Frieda Brides’ Sample Sale: Bridal dresses at a discount, what you should know before coming
Twice a year, we open our racks for a sample sale. It's your chance to take home a designer gown at a fraction of the usual price. In today’s bog, we will cover what to expect from our Sample Sales and how to best prepare yourself.
What is a sample sale?
At Frieda Brides, we update our collection multiple times a year. To keep our collection fresh, we host sample sales to clear out gowns from past collections. Some styles go on sale because they've been discontinued. Others are simply sizes we're holding too much stock of. It doesn't mean the dresses are outdated — the difference between Frieda Brides gown sale and some others that you’ve been to is our willingness to let go of very new styles. Some pieces from as recent as the current year's collection (a few of our past sale brides were able to pick out brand new steals!)
Will there be a consultant with me?
Yes, though it won't be a private, one-to-one fitting. Multiple brides will be trying on gowns during the same slot, and you'll share the changing room. Our consultants will still be on hand throughout to help you. If you need any advice on alteration requirements or style recommendations, we’re there for you (bear with us if your response is slightly slower on sale days as each consultant may be tagged to a few brides at a time).
How to prepare yourself:
Come early for the best selection
The most sought-after gowns tend to go during our pre-sale slot. If you already have a dress in mind, we'd recommend booking that to avoid missing out. Our pre-sale slots are designed for us to offer a slightly more personal service and the slots are very limited. If you’re unable to grab a pre-sale slot, don’t be discouraged. Each year, we manage to find dresses for brides attending the last few slots, too.
Come in fitted athleisure that allows you to try on the dress over
You are welcome to use our changing rooms, but do wear something easy to change in and out of, as you'll be sharing the space with others. Alternatively, wear tight fitting clothes that will let you try on the dress over them, this way you can quickly change in and out of the dress without queuing for the fitting rooms.

The terms & conditions:
Purchase: all sales are final on the day — once the slot ends, sale pricing no longer applies
Condition: gowns are sold as-is, no alterations or cleaning included, though we're happy to recommend a tailor afterwards
Pricing: Sale gowns range from $690 to $1290
Collection: Sale gowns must be brought home on the day of purchase

Not sure if the sale is right for you?
If this will be your very first time trying on wedding gowns, the sample sale might not be the best introduction — with multiple brides sharing the space, it's a quicker, more hands-on experience than we'd usually want for your first fitting. Your first time in a gown deserves a little more time and attention, so we'd love to have you in for a regular appointment instead. You'll get a dedicated slot, a consultant all to yourself, and the space to really sit with how each gown feels. There's no rush — we'll make sure it's a moment worth remembering.
