What is a bridal trunk show?

A bridal trunk show is a limited-time event featuring an extensive collection from a designer. This time in collaboration with MWL, we are preparing never seen before selections as well as our favourites for a limited time at Frieda Brides.

Can I bring guests for the trunk show?

Yes, each bride may bring up to two guests.

Can I try on other gowns you have in the boutique?

Yes you can! However, the trunk show is held in collaboration with MWL which will feature exclusive pricing during the event dates. Rates will revert back to original pricing after the event.

Do I need to make an appointment for the trunk show? Is there a booking fee?

Yes, appointments are required to ensure you receive a dedicated 1-1 bridal consultation. Appointments are complimentary and can be reserved through our website. As availability is limited, we encourage booking in advance.

What should I prepare for the appointment?

Nothing! Just yourself and everything you need is provided in the boutique.

How long is the appointment?

Each appointment is an hour long and should take you through 5 to 6 gowns. Brides are recommended to go through the trunk show catalog under the events page to view new styles available at the trunk show before coming in!

My wedding is very soon—can you still help?

Yes, don’t panic yet! Some designers have ready stock, others offer rush production, and you may also purchase off-the-rack. Book an appointment, and we’ll review all available options. 

Do you provide alterations? How long does it take?

Yes. A highly experienced bridal seamstress handles all alterations.

For brand-new purchases, alterations cost range from SGD 150–480, depending on the complexity.

For rental, alterations and dry cleaning are included in the pricing.

The alteration process requires 2-3 fittings held over a month. Purchase alterations begin 1.5 months before the wedding, while rental alterations begin 3–4 weeks before. 

Is buying online cheaper than buying from the boutique?

Not necessarily. Our prices are matched to official retailers, and online orders often exclude shipping, GST, currency conversion and card fees.

Purchasing through us includes a measurement session, quality checks, steaming, and a garment bag, collectively worth SGD 250.
